[2] Time to discuss our second book: Open Throat by Henry Hoke
It's time for the second round of book club discussions!
Autumn is in full swing in Oslo. The days are getting shorter and darker, the air is crisp, and the landscape is brightly coloured with red, orange, and yellow hues. It is the perfect atmosphere to cozy up with a book.
Wherever you are and whatever the weather, I hope you are are having a pleasant season despite the turmoil of world events. And, I hope that you are also enjoying our second book in the LAX LAB 2.0 climate fiction book club: Open Throat by Henry Hoke.
Now it’s time for us to meet and discuss! This is our second round of discussions and I still do not know much about who and where you are and how you would like to participate in the book club. If you would like to participate in a friendly and informal 60—90 minute online group discussion on Open Throat, please reply to this message or leave a comment on this Substack post answering the following:
Are you available for a discussion in the upcoming weeks? Which is preferable?
Week 45: 4 November — 10 November
Week 46: 11 November — 17 November
Which days of the week or weekend are best for you?
What time zone are you in, and what times of the day work for you?
If you are in Oslo, would you be interested in joining an in-person discussion?
If you haven’t read the book yet, there is still time!
Looking forward to hearing from you, and to hopefully meeting some of you soon. Wishing you all the best from Oslo! 🍂🍁🍃
